Financial Aid Calendar

December 2012

• Payment of balance is due for the spring semester and must be paid directly to the Bursar's Office.
• Potential graduates who borrowed a student Federal Family Educational Loan will be notified about the required Exit Interview.
  
  

January 2013

• Students can start applying for the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
• Student will receive emails asking to verify on-campus housing.
  
  

February 2013

• The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships verifies Spring 2013 enrollment for all financial aid recipients.
  
  

March 2013

• 2013-2014 Award letters will be mailed to new freshmen.
• The 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid/or Renewal Application (FAFSA) must be processed by the priority date of March 15, 2013.
• The Summer 2013 Financial Aid Applications will be available on our website on March 4, 2013.
  
  

April 2013

• Potential graduates who borrowed a student Federal Family Educational Loan will be notified about the required Exit Interview.
• All Fall 2013 Stafford Loan borrowers should complete the Entrance Interview online at www.studentloans.gov
• All Fall 2013 Perkins Loan borrowers should complete the Entrance Counseling online at www.mappingyourfuture.org.

May 2013

• Must submit the Summer 2013 Financial Aid Application by May 6, 2013.
• Must register for half-time enrollment (undergraduate students = 6 credits and graduate students = 4.5 credits) by May 17, 2013 to be eligible for Summer 2013 financial aid.

June 2013

• Students who did not maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP) will be notified in writing.
• 2013-2014 award notification will be emailed to students via their SCSU email account.

July 2013

• Bills are due July the fall semester and must be paid directly to the Bursar's Office. If financial aid is not in place, be sure to pay the bill by the due date.

September 2013

• All financial aid files will be processed for the 2013-2014 academic year.
• The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships verifies Fall 2013 enrollment for all financial aid recipients.

November 2013

• The priority date for new students applying for financial aid for Spring 2014 only is November 1, 2013.
