photo of students in classThe Academic Advisement Center, located in the Wintergreen Building, on Wintergreen Avenue, assists in the advisement of all returning full-time and part-time students with undeclared majors.

Students are encouraged to call the Center to schedule an appointment to meet with an adviser for one-on-one advisement.

Returning part-time and full-time matriculated students who have declared majors must be advised by a faculty adviser in the department of their major or prospective major. A list of department contacts is available in the Academic Advisement Center.

Nonmatriculated students may receive academic advisement at the Center.

First-time, full-time students will be attending an Orientation.  Orientation is designed to provide new students with the information needed to have a successful first year at Southern.  Please visit the Orientation website for more information.
