SCSU Faculty and Staff Campaign for Student SUCCESS

CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE

DR. WILLIAM FARACLAS
Public Health
2007-2008 Co-Chair
"I contribute to the campaign because I enjoy the sense of community that comes from working collectively with my colleagues throughout the University to make good things happen for our students.  It feels good to know that our giving provides one way to move the University's focus on 'quality' from an idea to a reality."

DAWN STANTON-HOLMES
Student Center
2007-2008 Co-Chair
"I love Southern! Participation in athletics was a major part of my development and fondest memories as a Southern student and giving back to the women's track team is important and meaningful.  I feel that I am contributing to the excellence of our student athletes which gives me great joy and pride."

THERESE BENNETT
Mathematics
"I came to work at Southern because I wanted to teach students that cannot afford a private liberal arts education.  By donating to a scholarship fund, I am able to be a part of helping students financially as well as academically."

DIANE BOUTAUGH
Human Resources
"I contribute to the Faculty and Staff Annual Giving campaign because it enriches the education of our students and supports the mission of the university."

ADAM COHEN
Athletics
"I feel that is important to give to the campaign because, at Southern Connecticut, we would like to offer the student-athletes the best overall experience possible. Any money that is donated goes directly to enhance programs and equipment for our student-athletes."

JORDAN JONES
Finance and Administration
"I give to Southern because Southern has provided me with countless outstanding experiences, both as an alumnus and as an employee. It is my belief that by giving to the Faculty & Staff Campaign I'm not only contributing to the success of the university today, but I'm also contributing to the future success of Southern students. "

KEVIN MCNAMARA
Center for Communication Disorders
"I consider my contribution to the Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign, which I've directed to a Departmental scholarship fund, as an easily arranged and reasonable way to support the mission of the University and the future success of my profession. I feel I can have a big positive impact for a small bi-weekly contribution."

SALVATORE RIZZA
Student Life
"Giving for me is more about giving back. I earned more than a degree from Southern. I received an excellent education in every sense of the word. My academic experience with first rate professors was invaluable and my experiences as an involved student leader as well as my time as a Resident Advisor were unforgettable. I believe so strongly in what is accomplished at universities and more specifically, Southern Connecticut State University, that I choose to pursue a career  in higher education and made Southern my school of choice for a second time in my life. I will continue to choose Southern. I choose to give back to Southern knowing that my contribution will help other students achieve the same experiences that I was fortunate to have."
