scholarship information

Thanks to many generous donors, the Alumni Association, in collaboration with the SCSU Foundation, Inc., awards over 180 scholarships to students at Southern Connecticut State University. With one online application, students become eligible for scholarships for which they meet the specified criteria.

From October 1, 2008, to December 31, 2008, the scholarship application will be available for full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate students for the 2009-2010 academic year.

To be eligible for a scholarship you must have:

  • 2.0 or higher GPA
  • 12 undergraduate or nine graduate credits earned at SCSU by the close of the fall 2008 semester

Student(s) graduating in May 2009 are not eligible to apply.  For student(s) graduating in May 2009 and planning to take graduate classes at SCSU in fall of 2009, nine SCSU graduate credits must be completed by the end of the fall 2009 semester.
