The Alumni Association is the liaison to your alma mater. Here's how:

SOUTHERN Magazine:
It's published three times annually to keep you tapped into what's happening on and off campus. Features include profiles on successful and newsworthy alums as well as in-depth interviews with SCSU's faculty. SOUTHERN also provides pertinent updates on alumni, organized by decade. Drop us a line, and let the Southern family know of your accomplishments. And send us your e-mail address--SOUTHERN also publishes interim newsletters and online correspondence to keep you in the know.

Scholarship Program:
The Association awards scholarships to more than 180 outstanding Southern students--more than any other campus organization. Learn more about the scholarship program.

Homecoming:
Come to the hospitality tent at the Jess Dow field before the Owls football game to see old friends from your college days. Bring the family along so the kids can enjoy horse rides, an obstacle course, and more.

Class Reunions:
The Association works closely with committees to plan jubilee reunions. Five-year reunions take place at Homecoming each year.

Campus Job Placement Services:
Southern's Office of Career Services has a job placement service for alumni.

Internet Access:
As an active member of the Alumni Association, you will have access to Internet in Buley Library.

Alumni Clubs:
The departments of Public Health, Social Work, and Nursing, and Black Alumni have alumni clubs within the Alumni Association that periodically offer special programs and events for their alumni and students.

University Bookstore:
The SCSU Bookstore is having a 25% off sale on apparel until November 25th.

Liberty Mutual:
Now provides Southern alumni with discounted auto and home insurance rates. For more information, visit us or call 1-800-524-9400. Be sure to tell the representative you are an SCSU alumnus/a.

Green Energy with Viridian:   Save money, save the planet and help the Alumni Association bring great programming to its alumni just by changing your energy provider.  You will still receive one bill (CL&P or UI in Connecticut), no enrollment fees, low variable energy rate, same reliable service, 35% green energy in CT.  The Alumni Association will receive $2.00 per month for every alumnus/a who changes his/her energy provider to Viridian.  You can cancel at any time if you're not completely satisfied.
