Stepping Out Into a Broken World

The Rev. Dr. Ted Gaiser, a Southern alum ('86) and current Episcopal missionary in Colombia, will give a presentation on his experience working in Colombia.  Come hear Ted share his perspective on mission, and learn about Colombia, what it's like living in South America, and about Ted's work in support of sustainable economic development amo...ng the poor.

Rev. Gaiser has directed large technology departments, served as lead researcher on a Ford Foundation national study on inner-city economic development, managed federally funded research programs, taught in the Sociology Dept. at Boston College, managed his own business consulting practice, and directed global partnership development for the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. His mission work has taken him to countries throughout Central & South America, the Caribbean, East Africa, and the Middle East. Ted holds a BA in history from Southern, a master's in theology from Boston University, and a master's in business administration and a doctorate in Sociology from Boston College. He is also ordained in the Episcopal Church.
