Chris McCormack   2003  Cross Country Captain

    A dedicated leader, Chris has been equally dedicated as a runner.  in the last three seasons, he gradually worked his way up through the ranks.  This past summer, Chris increased his distance and prior to coming back to school, logged four 100+ mile weeks .   After the initial meet, at which Chris was our number three runner, he started to have knee problems, and was held out of competitions for the remainder of the season.  An exercise science major , Chris has another year of cross country eligibility.       

    

     

 


Scott LaBonte,  2003 - 2004 Track and Field - Tri Captain

     After three years of successfully competing in the 400 M. and the 500 M. indoor, Scott has spent the fall training with the 800 M. runners.  Scott ran the lead leg on last year's 4 X 400 M. Relay Team which ran 3:12.79 indoors and earned All American status at the NCAA II Championship Meet.   Scott also ranks in the SCSU Top 10 list of 500 M. runners with a time of 1:04.91.   Scott is a Liberal Studies major.

                                                             

 
Chris McCormack,  2003 - 2003 Track and Field  - Tri Captain

     Honored with the team captaincy by his teammates for his leadership and dedication to the team on and off the track, Chris has proven to be a quality 800 M. runner.   He has run 1:53.44 in the 800 M. as well as 2:29.83 for 1000 M.  He has good middle range, with quality performances from the 400 M. up through the 1500 M.  Also the captain of the 2003 SCSU Cross Country Team, Chris is an exercise science major. 


Kenroy O'Connor,  2003 - 2004 Track and Field - Tri Captain

    A valuable member of the long sprint / middle distance corps, Kenroy  has posted times of 22.45 @ 200 M., 49.16 @ 400 M, 47.5 on the 400 M. Relay team, 1:03.67 @ 500 M. (third on the SCSU All Time 500 M. list) and has competed at 800 M.  As a member of the indoor 4 X 400 M. Relay team  (3:12.79), Kenroy has earned All American status at the 3003 Indoor NCAA II Championships.    Kenroy was inserted onto the 4 X 100 M. Relay team toward the end of the outdoor season and helped Southern capture its third  New England championship in the 4 X 100 M. Relay over the past three years.   Kenroy is an accounting major.
