Bill, who did his undergraduate work at Southern, is a nationally and internationally recognized coach in the area of the throwing events. He has produced countless number of All Americans in every event area. Two of his most recent prodigies were members of the USA women's teams at both the 2004 Olympic team and 2005 World Championship. He was also the coach of the women's hammer gold medalist in the Pan American Games in the mid 90's. He has been coaching both the men and women at the university for the past 16 years.
