Financial Aid Refunds

Students walking on campusThe Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships (OFAS) is required by federal law to verify that you are eligible for the loan by being registered as a matriculated student with the proper number of credits. This is a two-week process that the OFAS can not begin until after Add/Drop period ends, which is January 29, 2008 for the Spring 2008 semester. Therefore, Financial Aid refund checks should start being processed on February 12, 2008.

NOTE: If you would like to use your excess Financial Aid to purchase books, supplies, etc, you can request to add up to $500 in your excess funds to you Hoot Loot Card by clicking on: http://hootloot.southernct.edu
