EXPLANATION OF REQUIRED FEES
The following is a list of the required fees for Full-Time students per Connecticut State University Board of Trustees:
State University Fee: This fee is used to support the costs associated with the maintaining and repairing of student facilities (building) such as residence halls and the student center.
General Fee: This fee supports the operational costs associated with intercollegiate athletics, student center, student ID, accident insurance, parking facilities, and shuttle bus services.
Information Technology Fee: This fee is used to support the costs associated with student computer equipment and software, as well as the technical support and upgrades of hardware and software.
Media Fee: This fee supports student media publications and organizations such as student newspaper, student literary magazine, and student radio station.
Student Activity Fee: This fee is used to support university recognized clubs, and student center programs and functions.
Health Insurance: This fee is used to provide mandatory health insurance coverage for those full-time students who do not have medical insurance.
Optional Hoot Loot Fee: This is an optional fee provided to assist students in adding money to their Hoot Loot debit account prior to the start of the semester; the Hoot Loot card can be used for purchases such as books, supplies, food, copies, and other services, both on and off campus.
