CHAPTER 33 - POST 9/11 GI BILL - Dependent

The Post 9/11 GI Bill - Benefit to Dependent is available to qualified service members with active duty on or after September 11, 2001 who have transfered their benefit to an eligible dependent.

 

NEW AND FIRST TIME TRANSFER STUDENTS

Students new to the University and utilizing the Post 9/11 GI Bill - Benefit to Dependent will need to complete/submit the following:

  • VA Form 22-1990e Application for Family Member to Use Transferred Benefits (New Students)
    This application will initiate your transferred benefits with the VA.
    Complete VA Form 22-1990e online through the Veterans Online Application (VONAPP)
  • VA Form 22-1995 Request for Change of Program or Place of Training (Transfer Students)
    This form is used to change your program of study or the school you are attending
  • SCSU VA Request for Enrollment Certification available from the Bursar's Office website.
    This form is used to provide required information to the Bursar's Office as part of the VA enrollment certification process


CONTINUING STUDENTS

Continuing students utilizing the Post 9/11 GI Bill - Benefit to Dependent will need to complete/submit the following each academic year:

Note: Students utilizing the Post 9/11 GI Bill Benefit to Dependent educational benefit are not eligible for the veteran tuition waiver.
