SCSU Business Honor Society Induction Ceremony
The SCSU School of Business recently held a ceremony to recognize outstanding students and special honorees by inducting them into Delta Mu Delta, the international business honor society. Over 70 undergraduate and graduate students were inducted at the December 4, 2010, event. In addition, David McHale and Laurance Selnick were honorary inductees.
McHale is the Chief Financial Officer of Northeast Utilities, a Southern alumnus, a member of the SCSU Foundation Board, and a supporter of the university. Selnick is a Senior Vice President at Webster Bank, which provides financial support for the School's Treasury Management program and its Trading Room.
The criteria for students to become inducted into Delta Mu Delta is rigorous: they must be in the top 20% of their class, and have a 3.2 GPA as an undergraduate or a 3.6 GPA as a graduate student.
Over 200 people attended the event, which took place at the Fantasia Restaurant in North Haven.
