Wheelchair Basketball Game at SCSU

Southern Connecticut State University will be hosting a Wheelchair Basketball Game on March 29th 2012 at 7:00pm in the Moore Fieldhouse.
The game will feature Southern Connecticut State University students and adminsitrators playing against the Connecticut Spokebenders. 

We hope this event will promote disability awareness, diversity and encourage school spirit. Through an exhibition wheelchair basketball game with the Spokebenders, we can together change the myths and stereotypes people may have about persons with disabilities.

The event is made possible by the CT Spokebenders, the Hospital for Special Care, the SCSU Recreationa and Leisure Studies Department, the SCSU Recreation Club and the SCSU Office of Campus Recreation.

SCSU Ice Hockey Back to Back Regional Champions

Congratulations to the SCSU Ice Hockey Team for defeating Farmingdale State University 10-3 on Sunday March 26th to defend its title as the Empire Collegiate Hockey Conference’s (ECHC) Emperor’s Cup Champions.
The Southern Connecticut State University Owls Ice Hockey team will be competing in the ACHA National Championship in Vineland, NJ on March 14th-17th. For more information, see the ACHA’s site on the National Championships.

Intramurals Cancelled for Tonight! (2/14/2012)

We have decided to cancel intramurals for tonight (February 14^th, 2012).  There are two varsity basketball games tonight in the field house and a few teams have said they have conflicts for tonight so we have decided to cancel all the games for tonight.  The games for Thursday (2/16) will be played as scheduled.
