If there is a question or a problem it is important to be able to quickly contact the direct supervisor to clarify information on forms or timesheets. If the student already has a job on campus it is the responsibility of subsequent hiring departments to coordinate the total hours worked. This information is audited. If a student exceeds their hours they may lose the privilege of working on campus. Students can t hold multiple jobs or multiple pay rates in the same department. Students may be expected to perform a range of tasks that include responsibilities from multiple work classes. In these cases, the high rate could prevail. Students may be enrolled as full time or part time students in an undergraduate or graduate program. Changes will be processed as soon as possible, and most will be processed within 10 working days. However, during busy times it may take up to the same amount of time as to process a new form. Appropriate dress expectations should be made very clear on or before the first day of work. This is especially important for departments that deal with the public. There are some general guidelines in the policy statement to help you get started talking about dress and office etiquette, but they are not meant to be all encompassing since expectations vary based on the position.
