ROUGH SEAS AHEAD!

The visit to the web master proved both frustrating and successful. She was able to hyperlink, and she linked my page to www.nicenet.org, a free threaded discussion site. Disappointingly, however, she did the work quickly and without explanation, so I was not able to learn from her. Further, she stripped my page of its creativity, and restructured it to fit the college’s formal format. Finally, I later needed to make additions, changes, and corrections to the page, but learned that I could not do that independently. Every time I need to make a change, I need to access the site through the web master. One last pitfall: My computer caught a virus and every program was completely deleted. Fortunately, I had most materials backed up on disks, and a knowledgeable friend was able to get it up and running again. That was a terrifying experience! NEXT
