EDUCATION
The Department of Computer Science is one of the largest departments at Southern, offering both undergraduate and graduate programs that prepare students for today's challenging job environment.
In the undergraduate program, two different majors are offered:
- The General Computer Science (CS) Program which is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and,
- The Computer Information Systems (CIS) Program

In the graduate program, the department offers a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
The Department of Computer Science has been recognized by the university for offering "distinguished" programs in its curriculum and for teaching excellence.
