Yale University IT Career Fair at our main campus, 155 Whitney Avenue, on Wednesday, November 7 between the hours of 11am-6pm. This is an opportunity for alumni and students to be interviewed by an IT professional.

CS Degree Starting Salaries Up 15% Since Bust
Flying in the face of suggestions that computer science is not a viable career path, graduates saw sizable starting salary increases in 2007.

Due only partly to the damage done by the dot-com bust and media hype around outsourcing, there is a widespread conception that IT is not a viable career path.

Perpetuated further by well-intended guidance counselors, parents and even IT professionals who do not feel safe sending their technically inclined children down their same career path, most come to the conclusion that computer science graduates have a difficult time finding work. Read More

ACM Team Advance to Northeast Finals
Congratulations to students Joe Langeway, James Scheffler, and Patrick Carter for placing second place in the preliminary Association for Computing Machinery programming competition.  They advanced to the Northeast finals on November 11 in Rochester, NY and placed fifth behind M.I.T., Harvard, Brown, and R.I.T.
