About the Position
This student worker position assists in the maintenance, troubleshooting and wiring associated with the University's campus debit card program, including Food Service POS terminals, online vending, and both on and off campus debit card hardware.
Responsibilites
- Assist in the wiring, maintenance, and troubleshooting for all terminals connected to the campus debit card system.
- Assist in the maintenance and operations of the University Card Office computer network - including software and hardware upgrades and updates.
- Perform other technical support duties related to basic operation of the University Card Office and campus debit card system.
Qualifications:
Work experience and/or working knowledge in computer and/or network support and/or strong functional background in computer science or related technical field.
Expectations:
This position requires 15 - 20 hours per week during the semester with some flexibility in scheduling during normal business hours (Monday 8 am - 6 pm, Tuesday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm). Opportunity to work 20 - 40 hours per week during semester breaks and summer.

- Test Scores: Top-tier test scores on one of the following: GRE, GMAT, LSAT, SAT, or ACT.
- Teaching Experience: Have taught at least one university semester/quarter class. Prior university teaching experience is required.
- Quantitative and Verbal Skills: Must have BOTH excellent math and verbal/writing skills. Sherwood Test Prep Instructors teach the entire course.
- Consistent Sunday Commitment: We seek team players who are flexible and can teach on consecutive Sundays throughout the entire year. We only take off four weekends per year (those corresponding to): Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Instructors can teach from 3 to 6 hours per weekend.

Position:
Reporting to the Programmer Analyst III in Library Access Integration Services, the Programmer Analyst is responsible for the design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of Library web and database applications and analyzes the technical needs of staff, faculty and readers, and develops proposals to acquire or develop the tools to answer those needs.
Responsibilities:
Maintains the databases that support and make possible the successful implementation of Library's Digital Collections. Acts as a liaison between more senior programmers and users. Performs related corrections, refinements and improvements. Under the guidance of the Programmer Analyst III, works with other Library technology staff and IT staff across the University, collaborates on the development and implementation of a variety of automation and digitization projects conducted in and for the Library. Interacts with internal contacts such as interdepartmental personnel to troubleshoot; resolves problems and provide training to assist with problem resolution. Produces related documentation and user manuals as needed. May design and conduct technical training sessions for Library staff. May assist in the design and roll-out of the Library's web CMS or use of SharePoint. May be required to assist with disaster recovery efforts. May be assigned to work on the West Campus located in West Haven, CT.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated high-level expertise supporting Windows XP or Vista. Demonstrated experience developing web sites using HTML, CSS and XML. Experience with object oriented programming using one or more of the following: VBScript, Java, Visual Basic, ASP or C#. Experience with MS SQL Server 2005/2008 programming and development or other SQL environments. Demonstrated experience assisting users with various levels of technical expertise.
Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly a demonstrated ability to conduct technical training sessions and prepare appropriate on-line documentation for use by non-technical and technical staff. We are seeking a full-time, high-energy, experienced, Network Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Our Network Engineers are focused on delivering network design, implementation, support, and excellent customer service to our clients.
