Graduate Students

GRADUATE PROGRAMS

The CSP department offers graduate level course work leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) and 6th Year degrees with specialties in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC), School Counseling and School Psychology.

The curriculum for the M.S. in CMHC, School Counseling, and School Psychology is designed to prepare students to be effective entry‐level professionals in a variety of settings. The curriculum for the M.S. complies with the standards for state and national accrediting bodies. 

The courses available for non-matriculated students are:

  • CSP 555 Interpersonal Group Dynamics  

  • CSP 580 Human Sexuality

  • CSP 574 Applied Behavioral Interventions in Schools, Classrooms and Counseling Settings

  • CSP 573 Counseling Students for College and University Education

  • CSP 572 Career Counseling

  • CSP 502 Religious and Value Issues in Counseling

  • CSP 521 Counseling the Substance Abuser  

  • CSP 532 Physical Basis for Behavior and Personality  

  • CSP 541 Introduction to Psychopharmacology  

  • CSP 546 Depression and Suicide in Children, Adolescents and Adults
