LETTER OF AGREEMENT

Pursuant to Article 10.4 of the Agreement of August 23, 2002, between The Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors, Inc., and the Board of Trustees for The Connecticut State University, the parties agree that workload credit shall be granted to one faculty sponsor of each undergraduate Honors Thesis on the following basis:

A. One-half (1/2) load credit when the first draft of the thesis is submitted and approved by the faculty sponsor and the department chairperson;

B. One-half (1/2) hour load credit when the thesis is completed and accepted by the faculty sponsor, the department chairperson or department review committee or the Honors Committee, as appropriate, and the appropriate dean.

It is further agreed that no faculty member shall exceed the maximum of a three (3) hours load credit per year for sponsoring theses. This credit is allowed in addition to that granted for instruction of undergraduate Senior Seminar courses in the major field of the student.
