LETTER OF AGREEMENT

Pursuant to Article 10.4 of the Agreement of August 23, 2002, between The Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors, Inc., and the Board of Trustees for The Connecticut State University, the parties agree that the Department of Information and Library Science at Southern Connecticut State University shall continue to conform to graduate faculty workload standards required for continued accreditation by the American Library Association. These standards, as contained in the ALA Handbook, specify that, "Faculty assignments relate to the needs of a program and to the competencies and interests of individual faculty members. These assignments assure that the quality of instruction is maintained throughout the year and take into account the time needed by the faculty for teaching, student counseling, research, professional development, and institutional and professional service."
