LETTER OF AGREEMENT

Pursuant to Article 10.4 of the Agreement of August 23, 2002, between The Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors, Inc., and the Board of Trustees for The Connecticut State University, the parties agree that in the Department of Social Work at Southern Connecticut State University, social work supervision for SWK 390, 490, 491, 570 and 571 shall be credited at the rate of one-half (.5) hour load credit per student supervised. Such supervision shall include practicum seminar, agency and student educational contracting, liaison activity, planning and evaluation.

SWK 572--Social Work Practicum III and SWK 573--Social Work Practicum IV and Research Project shall be credited at the rate of one (1) hour load credit per student. The one (1) hour load credit for SWK 572 shall be granted as follows: one-half (.5) hour load credit for student supervision as defined above and one-half (.5) load credit when the proposal for the research project report is submitted and so certified by the Dean of the School of Health and Human Services. The one (1) hour load credit for SWK 573 shall be granted as follows: one-half (.5) hour load credit for student supervision as defined above and one-half (.5) hour load credit when the accepted research project is submitted and so certified by the Dean of the School of Social Work and Human Services. All university procedures related to the preparation of a master's thesis shall pertain.

The one-half (.5) hour load credit for supervision as defined above shall be credited for all students who complete eight (8) or more weeks of the courses specified above.
