LETTER OF AGREEMENT

Pursuant to Article 10.4 of the Agreement of August 29, 1997, between The Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors, Inc., and the Board of Trustees for The Connecticut State University, the parties agree that, in the Department of Education at Southern Connecticut State University, faculty responsible for EDU 500 (Student Teaching with Companion Seminar), EDU 575 (Integrative Field Experience in Math and Science Teaching) and EDU 576 (Integrative Field Experience in Language Arts and Social Science Teaching) will receive load credit as follows:

Course Load Credits Duties

EDU 500 .75 per student Supervising student teachers and teaching seminar off campus -- 12 weeks

EDU 575 1 per student, plus total Mentoring novice teachers and teaching

EDU 576 of 3 credits for seminar seminar on campus -- semester

(e.g., 1 each for 3 team

teachers)

The load credit provisions above shall apply by way of correction from the original date these courses were offered.

The letter of agreement will terminate at the end of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
