Technology is playing an ever-increasing role in jobs in virtually every discipline. Online workshops in each of the Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) are offered in addition to training in patron relations, adaptive technologies, scanning, and the transfer of files among different computing platforms (ex: Macintosh, Windows, Unix).

Lab Assistants can be hired from any academic major though experience with the distinct characteristics of each lab room or area is generally desired (ex: Macintosh/graphics experience in Buley labs, Windows/programming experience in Jennings labs).
