A word from Dr. Robert J. Kirsch:

On behalf of the accounting faculty, I would like to welcome you to the ACCOUNTING  DEPARTMENT'S WEBSITE.  Let me take a few minutes to highlight what a specialization in accounting, as part of "The Southern Experience," could mean to you!

SCSU's accounting program is approved by the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy for candidates wishing to take the uniform CPA examination.

Scholarships are awarded to students who achieve high accounting grades and overall grade point averages.

Students have an opportunity to participate in supervised internships and co-op programs in business and government.

Students have an opportunity to engage in academic research through an independent study under the supervision of a faculty member.

Students attain the required knowledge and skills that are necessary for today's business world, for attaining professional certification, and for pursuing graduate education.

Students have an opportunity to join the Accounting Society through which they can network and obtain important information concerning the profession.
