SCSU's accounting program is approved by the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy for candidates wishing to take the uniform CPA examination. |

Scholarships are awarded to students who achieve high accounting grades and overall grade point averages. |

Students have an opportunity to participate in supervised internships and co-op programs in business and government. |

Students have an opportunity to engage in academic research through an independent study under the supervision of a faculty member. |

Students attain the required knowledge and skills that are necessary for today's business world, for attaining professional certification, and for pursuing graduate education. |
| Students have an opportunity to join the Accounting Society through which they can network and obtain important information concerning the profession. |
