| COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Students are required to attend all the classes, actively participate in class and seminar discussions, independently conduct thorough literature search in a subject field and most importantly, students are required to give a literature or research seminar which incorporate all the materials covered in the semester. Requirements for literature presentation: Students can choose a topic of his/her interested branch of chemistry and select five papers related to the topic from peer reviewed journals. They are required to critically analyze the research. The selected papers should be published within the past five years. Requirements for research presentation: Students will consult with his/her research advisor and present their research. The presentation should include in detail the background of the research, hypothesis of the experiments, methods used, validity of the conclusion and future work they propose to do. |
