GRADUATE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY Graduates of this specialization will have acquired the skills to diagnose and treat children and adults with developmental language disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, neurophysiologically based speech and language disorders, fluency disorders, voice disorders and velopharyngeal disorders. They will also develop proficiencies in evaluating and treating swallowing disorders, in using and applying augmentative and alternative forms of communication, and in implementing collaborative service delivery models. Students will obtain
treatment and diagnostic experiences in a variety of clinical sites
including schools, hospitals and the department's Center for Communication

The graduate academic programs of the Department of Communication Disorders are accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's (ASHA) Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA). Clinical services offered by the departmental Center for Communication Disorders, hold ASHA Professional Services Accreditation.
