Connecticut Irish-American Historical Society

Meetings are generally held quarterly at the Ethnic Heritage Center  at Southern Connecticut State University, Wintergreen Building, Room 117, Wintergreen Ave. New Haven, CT   06515.

Members receive a newsletter, The Shanachie, which is published bimonthly.  The newsletter contains gleamings of Connecticut Irish history, genealogical material and items about our activities.

Family history sponsored genealogy workshops are held.  These workshops focus on such topics as using census records, vital statistics, research in Ireland, etc.

Exhibits are prepared on Connecticut's Irish people for display in public libraries during the month of March, Irish Heritage Month, and at summer Irish festivals.
