In keeping with tradition, Southern alumni and especially recent graduates have taken on new positions. As last year's edition did not make it to final print some of last year's hirings are included. Dawn Purington and Tony Testa, both graduates of the Temple master's program in athletic training have taken college positions. Dawn has assumed the position of assistant athletic trainer at the University of Pennsylvania, while Tony was named head athletic trainer at St. Peter's College in New Jersey.

Amy Pepin has decided to continue her studies at Southern and is now pursuing a degree in nursing. Michelle Iorio has taken a position at a local PT clinic while serving as a field hockey coach for Southern. The SCSU Sportsmedicine Club ended an active year under outgoing club president Meredith Ruck and academic advisor Nathan Wilder. tained through a series of fund raising activities arranged throughout the school year. The club was active in feeding the homeless in New Haven. The club participated monthly in the "Nightly Fun Run, a program by which food and clothing can be distributed to the needy. This year's new president is Taryn Rut.
