THE PROCESS

1. Professors meet with members of the Instructional Design Team (IDT) to identify the desired instructional outcomes (goals) to be achieved using multimedia; i.e., what will the student be expected to do or say after exposure to the "instructional material(s)".
   
   
2. The design team collaborates with each faculty member to determine the best medium and optimal delivery method of the instructional material(s).
   
   
3. A preliminary script, storyboard, or prototype is developed and submitted to the requesting faculty member(s) for approval.
   
   
4. The FTRL staff creates the materials and helps to integrate them into course presentations
