Research Interests:

My research takes an Eriksonian approach to the study of identity. Some of my work concerns the factors associated with the development of identity in adolescence. Other studies involve identification of the events that precede identity changes during adulthood.

Current/Recent Research Projects:

Currently I am using archival data from Radcliffe Institute to study identity, based on interviews with women who reached adulthood during the late 1970s and early 1980s. I am also working on a longitudinal study of identity changes in current adult samples.
