Goals

1. To prepare undergraduate students for professional positions and careers providing parks, recreation, and leisure services for an increasingly diverse population in public, non-profit, private and commercial settings.

2. To provide undergraduate students with a comprehensive education enabling them to pursue graduate programs in recreation and leisure studies or related fields.

3. To prepare graduate students for advanced professional roles in park and recreation leadership, management, teaching, and research.

4. To contribute to the growing understanding of parks, recreation, and leisure through research, professional involvement, and community service.
