Undergraduate Program

The community recreation specialization is intended to prepare students for careers and nonprofit community agencies. After completing foundation courses in leadership and program planning, students take courses directed at building an understanding of facility managements, business principles, agency administration, and topics specific to community settings. Additionally teams of students plan, implement, and conduct actual special events for local community youth serving agencies.
