| Census Date:
The end of the third week of classes when data referring to students or courses is secured in special files used for official reporting. |

| CIP: Classification of Instructional Programs. Code representing academic programs developed by the National Center for Education Statistics. |

| Extension Fund: Refers to a student with part-time status. An undergraduate student is considered part time when he/she is carrying less than 12 credits in a semester. A graduate student is considered part-time when he/she is carrying less than 9 credits in a semester. |

| Freshmen: Students are considered General Fund (full time) freshmen when they are entering the University with 6 or fewer credits accumulated in higher education. |

| FTE: Full Time Equivalent. FTE is calculated from the total credit hours generated by students. a) One undergraduate FTE equals 15 credit hours. b) One graduate FTE equals 12 credit hours. |

| General Fund: Refers to a student with full-time status. An undergraduate student is considered full time when he/she is carrying 12 or more credits in a semester. A graduate student is considered full-time when he/she is carrying 9 or more credits in a semester. |

| Transfer Students:
Students are considered transfers when they are entering the University with more than 6 higher education credits. |
