| Graduate middle grades certification program Due to impending changes in state certification requirements, budgetary cutbacks, and low enrollment, admission to the graduate middle grades certification program has been temporarily suspended. Historically, the overwhelming number of students seeking a middle grades endorsement have done so as a cross endorsement after having received their initial certification typically in elementary education. Southern offers approved courses to meet cross endorsement requirements, and these courses are listed on the State Department of Education's web page. It is anticipated that this interest in a middle grades cross endorsement will continue, and that the middle grades certification courses will continue to be viable. |
