"Living in Addiction"

Addiction affects more people than just the person suffering from it; it can affect family members, spouses, friends, co-workers, and many more. We invite all students to listen to SCSU Graduate Intern and Student Leader, Ashiah Richeme talk about her personal experience, battles, and triumphs living amongst addiction.

A representative from Al-anon will also be joining us to discuss the resources available to individuals in any form of relationship with an alcoholic or addict.

"National Alcohol Screening Day"

National Alcohol Screening Day, held annually, is a screening day designed to raise awareness and education about misuse and abuse of alcohol.  We invite all students, whether infrequent or frequent drinkers, to take the free alcohol screen and utilize the opportunity to talk on-on-one with a DARC staff counselor about the results.

For more information or resources regarding National Alcohol Screening Day and other screenings, go to http://www.mentalhealthscreening.org/events/national-alcohol-screening-day.aspx.
