Educational Leadership and School Policies

Welcome to Southern Connecticut State University Department of Educational Leadershipand School Policies. There has never been a more exciting time in the field of educational leadership. On a number of fronts, racial disparity, economic inequality and gender discrimination must be overcome in order to insure the education of the masses in this country and around the world. Now, more than ever, well-trained public school leaders are needed to meet these challenges.

Training future leaders has been and continues to be the primary mission of this department. Through innovative teaching and research, the faculty of Educational Leadership prepares students to be at the forefront of change in a variety of settings; from public to private schools, from K to 16 educational institutions and the private sector to government agencies.

We offer a certification and 6th year program for intermediate administrators, a certification and 6th year program for Superintendents, a Master's Degree in Research, Statistics and Measurement and a Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership.
