Admissions
Admission to the program requires completion of the application (either online at www.southernct.edu/grad/admissions, in person, or by mail) for graduate studies at Southern Connecticut State University as well as an interview with the program coordinator.
Program-specific admissions factors include:
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0
- Ability to clearly state how program will helps student achieve career goals
- Experience in emergency management
- Ability to clearly express themselves at the graduate level
- Adding diversity (e.g., race, ethnicity, gender, age, professional background, social class) to the program and profession
- Computer and Internet skills
Keep in mind that these are factors that have shown to be related to student success -- candidates are not expected to excel in every factor, but we believe very strongly in your success and want you to be able to "hit the ground running."
