EDM 500 Emergency, Disaster, & Catastrophe Management l
EDM 500 provides in-depth knowledge of emergency management theory, including historical approaches to disasters and disaster management, the culture of disasters, planning for disasters, communication during disasters, mitigation of risk, the role of the private sector, government, and the individual, response to disasters, recovery, and future issues. 3 Credits.
EDM 501 Emergency, Disaster, & Catastrophe Management ll
EDM 501 provides in-depth knowledge of emergency management practice at the federal, state, local, and private sectors manage hands-on disaster planning, mitigation, response, & recovery efforts. This course examines current approaches to emergencies, disasters, and catastrophes. 3 Credits.
EDM 502 Emergency Project Management
EDM 502 provides in-depth knowledge of emergency management process utilizing formal project management principles. The course goal is to provide a background in principles, coupled with readings and case studies from applied settings to give students a holistic understanding how the process of managing projects & programs effectively is critical to long-term emergency management program success. 3 Credits.
