Southern is a public, metropolitan-minded university located in historic New Haven. We currently challenge the minds of some 12,000 students in 46 undergraduate programs and 40 graduate programs at the master's and sixth year professional level.

Southern has both classified positions in the civil service of the State of Connecticut and unclassified positions under the contracts and policies approved by the Board of Trustees.

All of our faculty positions are tenure-track appointments.
