Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:  Normal teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester.  The candidates will be teaching instrumental analysis, as well as general chemistry, graduate level analytical chemistry and elective courses in candidates' specialty area.  The successful candidates are expected to engage in research and creative activity with undergraduate and graduate students.  Faculty members are also expected to advise undergraduate students and participate in committee service. 
   

Required Qualifications:  A Ph.D. or ABD in chemistry and research / job experience in instrumental analysis are required.  If ABD, candidate must have earned doctorate by time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:  The preferred candidate will be able to service and maintain the GCMS, LCMS, and IR instruments and be familiar with the operation of the NMR. Preference will be given to those who have experience teaching instrumental methods courses.
