Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:
There are two 10-month tenure-track positions available (each with possible summer employment). Positions are to be filled by candidates demonstrating expertise in one or more of the following areas: basic speech sciences, auditory processing or clinical sciences for medically based disorders. Teaching and research is required in one or more of the following areas: speech science, anatomy and physiology, auditory processing disorders, research methods, voice and voice disorders, dysphagia, AAC, or neurogenic communication disorders.
Required Qualifications:
Earned Ph.D. in Communication Disorders or related field; ABD candidates considered. If ABD, candidate must earn doctorate by end of first year of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Audiology (CCC-A); Eligibility for Connecticut state licensure.
Evidence of ability to teach effectively at university level. Ability to engage in meaningful scholarship/creative activity, leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
