Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:       

The Computer Science Department invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning August 2013 in the rank of assistant professor. The successful candidate will be expected to teach CS core courses and graduate courses in networking and security in support of the Department's new master's concentrations.  All faculty share student advising and committee assignments. Normal teaching load is three courses per semester.

Required Qualifications: 

Applicants must be at least ABD.  If ABD, the candidate must have an earned doctorate by time of appointment.

Evidence of ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level CS courses effectively.  Ability to supervise master's level research and stimulate undergraduate research.  Ability to engage in meaningful scholarship, leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed conference proceedings and journals in the discipline. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Equivalent of two years experience teaching computer science courses.  Demonstrated record of scholarship.
