The Counseling and School Psychology Department in the School of Education at Southern Connecticut State University is accepting applications for a tenure-track, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in School Counseling. The successful candidate will teach graduate level school counseling courses, supervise interns, pursue scholarship and a research agenda, participate in curricular and program development, collaborate with school and agency partners, and serve on department and university committees.
Minimum Qualifications Include:
Applicants must hold a Doctorate in counselor education or a closely related field. Must identity self as a counselor educator and be committed to the professional field of counselor education and school counseling as evidenced by education, teaching, school experience, research, and professional affiliations. Must exhibit a commitment to diversity and multicultural counseling competencies.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
Doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP accredited program, school counseling experience in a public school setting, supervisory experience, knowledge of current national counselor education standards (CACREP and ASCA), experience working with graduate students in instruction and mentoring and evidence of program development and evaluation experience.
