Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:
The normal teaching load is four courses per semester. The successful candidate for either position will be expected to teach graduate courses in leadership and organizational development, curriculum, supervision, finance, law, and/or district instructional improvement, and participate in activities that advance the department's mission. Department grants one course reassigned time every other year to be devoted to scholarly research or creative activity.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants for either position must have: 1) earned doctorate by time of appointment/by end of first year of appointment from an accredited institution; 2) a record of administrative leadership in P-12 positions; 3) evidence of ability to effectively teach graduate courses in leadership, district instructional improvement, supervision, curriculum, finance, and/or law; 4) knowledge and skills in implementing contemporary school reform initiatives; 5) ability to engage in meaningful scholarship/creative activity, leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership experience in urban/diverse communities, demonstrated use of technology to enhance learning, evidence of professional presentations and/or publications, and a defined research agenda
