Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach one course per semester in area of expertise
• Engage in collaborative applied research with students and colleagues on autism spectrum disorders.
• Solicit external funding in support of the Center and Center-related Activities.
• Work closely with the Director of the Center of Excellence on Autism Spectrum Disorders to organize training, provide technical assistance to school and community agencies, and assist with other Center activities.
• Provide statewide leadership in advancing on understanding of and programs to address the needs of people on the autism spectrum.
Required Qualifications:
• Earned doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with a specialization related to the study of autism and other developmental disabilities.
• Distinguished record of publications and other scholarship with at least a focus on autism spectrum disorders.
• Demonstrated leadership in the development of interdisciplinary collaboratives.
• At least ten years experience in Higher Education
Preferred Qualifications:
• Evidence of successful grant-writing for external funding to support research and/or educational programming on autism spectrum disorders.
• Successful experience working within inclusive school and community organizations/ institutions
• Teaching experience in PK-12 school setting.
