Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:
Successful candidate is expected to teach introduction to geography, introduction to physical geography, climatology, and geomorphology, introduction to GIS, in addition to selective courses of their own interest.  The candidate is expected to introduce new courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and to contribute to the department's program at all levels.

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Geography.  Evidence of excellent potential in teaching as well as of research in physical geography, leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals in the discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise and/or experience in computer methods including GIS and ability to bridge to cultural geography, economic geography, regional geography, and GIS/Cartography.  Remote sensing experience highly welcomed.
