Brief Description of
Duties/Responsibilities:
Teach
undergraduate/master's-level courses in mathematics and statistics, pursue
creative activities, and participate in department and university service.
Normal teaching load is 12 credit-hours per semester.
Required
Qualifications:
Qualifications include a doctorate in Statistics or
Mathematics or a closely related field, ability to teach a wide range of
statistics classes at the undergraduate and masters level, evidence of quality
teaching and potential for scholarly growth. Applicants must be at least ABD. If ABD, candidate must have earned doctorate by time of appointment.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to a candidate with the following
interest and/or experience: development of an applied statistics master's
program, and/or cross-disciplinary research with other departments in the
university. To be considered for the
Associate-level position, the candidate must have a track record of external
funding and/or a well-established research program.
