Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Specialization: Mathematics Education

Search #: 10-003

Description of Duties / Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate/master's-level courses in mathematics education and mathematics, pursue creative activities, and participate in department and university service. Normal teaching load is 12 credit-hours per semester.

Required Qualifications:

Doctorate in mathematics, or Doctorate in mathematics education with the equivalent of a Master's degree in mathematics, evidence of quality teaching, potential for scholarly growth. A candidate for this position should be someone with experience/interest in the mathematical preparation of secondary/elementary school teachers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Evidence of experience in the K-12 arena is highly desirable.
