Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities: Seeking a dynamic professional to teach a variety of marriage and family therapy courses including systemic theories, assessment/research, couples therapy, and practicum and internship supervision. Additionally, they will provide supervision in the MFT On-Campus Family Clinic and share student advisement and all-university committee work. While a 12 credit teaching load per semester is standard, numerous supports for research and creative activity are available.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have earned a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy by the time of appointment. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of experience as a marriage and family therapist, be an AAMFT Approved Supervisor or eligible and willing to obtain that credential.
Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of excellence in graduate level teaching is highly desirable. A demonstrated record of scholarship/creative activity is an asset, since faculty members are expected to engage in meaningful scholarship/creative activity leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals in the discipline. Experience with on-site clinical services is advantageous and evidence of commitment and service to diverse populations and social justice is fundamental.
